Kubota L2800 HST
Howdy,

I'm looking at getting a Kubota tractor and was initially leaning toward the L2800, called around to get price quotes and one of the dealers said I might prefer the B7800.

The specs I'm looking at getting in either model are HST, 4WD, R-4 tires, possibly a FEL.

I'm going to use it to bushhog, rent an auger for fence posts, till up a small 1/2 acre garden, move things around the farm, and other tasks.

My farm is also sort of hilly with most of the slopes being 20 to 30 degree slopes.

Any suggestions on which tractor would suit me better?

Thanks, Mike

L2800 is larger, heavier, FEL goes higher, 3pt position control.
B7800 with its 30hp will climb your hills easier due to lighter weight and one more hp and do every job you listed.
I wouldn't want to be sideways on 20-30deg slopes with either machine.

Thanks, that's good information, especially the info regarding being sideways on the hills :)

Right now I have a Case CK 885 that came with my property, and it handles being sideways on the hills just fine.

From what I can tell the L2800 and B7800 are smaller and lighter than the CK885.

The B7800 and L2800 are both nice tractors, but I agree with wushaw; sure wouldn't get sideways on a hill if it's as steep as you said.
