Mowing l2800 finish mower

I am looking at buying a finish mower for my l2800 and was hoping someone on here was using one with a l2800. I am looking at a king kutter 60 or 72 inch my question is can my tractor handle the 72 inch cutter?

I would say yes, it would power the 72" mower. My L3000 "loafs" when mowing with the 72" Woods mower. I can mow with ease at 1800 rpm (I think 2300 or so is 540 PTO rpm).

In a word, YES. My NH 1720 is 28 HP and it runs my Woods PRD 72" RFM just fine.

I'm running a 72" on my L2800 HST. Works great.

I ran a 60" BushHog brand behind mine for a couple of months before I bought a ZTR. It had no problems at all.
