I haven't heard much on here about the L2600DT 4x4. I have a price on a new 2hrs 2001 L2600DT w/loader for $12,990. I live in Indiana. Does this sound reasonable?

I have the L3000DT just a few horsepower different than the L2600DT. I bought mine new in 2000 w/loader for $15,700. I really like my tractor. There are others here who have the L2600DT.

That price doesn't sound bad, but only 2 hours on an almost 3 year old machine sounds a little low. As long as the tractor is the right size for what you want to do then it may be a good deal.

I would be very intrested to know why so few hours and what has it been doing all it's life up to this point.

Thanks Youare for the reply. The dealership says it was in their other warehouse two blocks away. Supposedly, they bought quite a few when they were new and just never sold them all. The dealership has a pretty reputable name around here. It still sounds kind of odd though. The tractor looks like it has 2 hrs on it. I am still trying to decide. We have a reputable New Holland dealership close too. I don't want to regret my purchase. That is why I came here to hear more about the Kubota. Thanks

I looked hard at the L2600DT before buying the newer version L2800DT. Last month, I was offered a new 2003 L2600DT, FEL, 5' shredder and 5' BB for $13,900. If you deduct the price of the shredder and BB, it is about the same as the price you were offered. If the L2600 is still under Kubota warranty, it's just like buying a new tractor.
Nice no-frills machine, just a strong engine for its size with lots of go-get-it!

Does anyone want to buy a 1970 SS Chevelle? My wife thinks I am crazy to sell it so I can buy a tractor. I just hate to pay someone every time I need to fix our 500 ft drive/remove brush and downed trees. I also have to put our yard in yet. They will never understand.

The only downside I could see to the L2600DT was that it doesn't have a live PTO.

Most people, when mowing, like to have the mower up to speed before the tractor starts moving. With a non-live PTO, you can't do this.

Considering all the 8N & 9N Fords still mowing today, a lot of people obviously don't consider this to be an issue.

It is probably more of a 'nice to have' feature than a real requirement.

I looked at a L3000 and they have the live PTO. I just don't know I can swing the price though. Thanks for the info.
