Can someone tell me where the temp sender is located on the engine, my guage stopped working suddenly, checked the gauge wires and they seem to be OK thought it might be the sending unit. The shop manual makes a reference to it but shows no location, thanks.

on the cylinder head,probably near the tstat hsng-

Nope, first place I looked. Doesn't seem to be on the head or block, checked the radiator hoses and radiator I'm at a loss. Upside to this, had the tractor out today and after cleaning the rats nest out the temp guage works fine, go figure. But, i would still like to find the sending unit, bothers me that I don't know.

I think its on top of the head real close to the fire wall and real hard to see but; its there on the right side.
