I am considering the purchase of an L245DT with 1700 hours on it. Does anyone have any experience with this particular model? It includes a 5' finish mower & 7' plow. The asking price is $5600. I would appreciate any thoughts...
I've had an l245dt for 4 years now and I am very pleased with it. It has plenty of power, and is easy to maintain. Keep an eye on the front end seals as they have a tendency to wear. I replaced mine with a minimum of effort and I am not a mechanic. I live in a very hilly area w/lots of trees and so keep my tractor in 4wheel all the time and it works out great. A two wheeler wouldn't work for me. Mine came with a FEL and I paid $6000 for it w/ 700hrs+. Seems like a lot of people like this tractor even though it doesn't have power steering and can be a bit of a workout in tight spaces. If it runs good I'd go for it.
