I have a Kubota L245dt ( SERIAL # l245DT-54980) That has an after market Front End Loader (FEL) on it. The FEL presently runs off the hydraulic pump with the 3pt hitch. That system is fast enough and strong enough, but using it that way causes the pump to wear out too fast, and they are expensive.

SO, I am looking for an alternative way to run the FEL. There is a splined shaft coming out the front of the motor (about 1 inch in diameter and with about 18-20 splines), can a hydraulic pump be added there,

OR is there a 12volt electric over hydraulic system that would work

OR does anyone have any other ideas???

Thanks in advance!!!

My tractor uses a front crankshaft driven pump for the loader, so I have 2 pumps.
My buddy B7100 is equipped that way also.
I gather the practice is quite common on after market FEL installationsè

The main criteria would be to couple with a U-joint or flex of some sort otherwise misalignment could damage front crank main bearing.
Also dont go too much larger than origional factory pump otherwise your engine might want to surge or lug.
