Okay what are the pros and cons on the Kubota L185 tractor??
Found one, asking price is $2000 with a 4foot shredder. Sound like a decent buy?

Sounds about average. It could be a decent buy if it is in good shape. Many of these early small Kubotas are still sound, but some are showing their 30+ years - so its value depends completely on condition. Have someone inspect it who knows Kubotas and make a list of the repairs it needs (any oil leaks, loose wheel bearings, worn steering, weak hydraulics, electrical issues, etc. etc) Most of the parts are still available but prices are rising. As a rough idea, the L185, L245 and L295 (2, 3 and 4 cylinder versions of the same chassis) seem to be around $2k-$4k, with 4wd adding $1k, and a loader adding another $1k-$2k.
