L1500DT
I have a L1500DT. Bought a Woods bush hog. Three point hooks up fine but drive shaft from bush hog doesn't reach the PTO on the tractor. Am I missing a part or do I need a longer drive shaft on the bush hog? New to tractors also.

They do come in different lengths because implements and tractors vary in size and layout. But first, let's make sure we're communicating what's going on...

PTO shafts normally are in two sections, one inside the other so it can slide in and out like a trombone. Like a trombone slide, if you extend it too far, it comes apart and there is also a minimum length of course. So, is your pto shaft a) all locked up so it doesn't slide in and out due to rust or crud, or b) is it just not long enough to reach without falling apart, or c) is it some other kind of pto shaft that doesn't slide?

Here's a link to one place that sells pto shafts just so you can see the different lengths, etc. Many other places sell them also.
