L1500 steering box

Anyone ever take the play out of the steering box on a L1500/L175 Kubota,
mine has about a half turn before the pitman arms start to move, I only gave
1K for it and don't want to spend 500 on just a steering box.

If it's sound you may be able to adjust some, if it's worn it won't matter how much you adjust it. New column w/ worm gear is under 200, including the necessary upper and lower bearings. If you need this let us know.
