Kubota L3800 HST
Well after some test driving of an L2800 and the new L3200 / L3800 I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the L3800. My B3200 is being sold by my dealer for me. I should have went this route right from the get go. The new L series are very nice. The space it will take up isn't much larger than my B but it sure is way more beefy. I'll keep you guys posted when I get her.

Did you compare your b3200 beside the L3800. How much larger does it seem? Do you think the loader will lift substantially more?
As you can see I am contemplating the same move.:D

Even though the L is only 7 inches longer and under 2 inches wider it feels like a much bigger tractor when sitting on and driving. Not cumbersome just more "real" tractor feel for lack of a better explanation. As far as the loader goes, it is stronger than my B3200. B3200 with LA504 loader is 1065 LBS at the pivot pin. The L32/3800 with the LA524 loader is 1490 LBS. at the pivot pin. They both, however, have nearly the same break out force at the pivot pin. I got this info from the Kubota brochures.

I was in the same situation on deciding which model to get and I ended up getting the L3800. It is allot beefier looking and the big thing that I noticed was the front axle. It is twice the size of the B3030 front axle that I was looking at. I don't have allot of seat time, but so far, it feels very stable and has allot of power. I'm very happy with it. I got the LA524 FEL and the BH77 hoe with a thumb.

The operators area was very more roomier and the controls were very comfortable to use. The one thing that I am not used to yet is the HST pedal. I can't keep my foot on the complete pedal when trying to go forward, I have to keep it off to the side and when I want to go into reverse, I have to put my foot on the whole pedal to do that. It's hard to explain.

Just checked the specs and I think you have your figures mixed. The LA524 is about 130# more on the lift at the same height.

As I've said before. It ain't all on the paper. You can compare specs all day but when it comes time to sign on the line, sit on one.
I had a B7800 for 3 years and traded it for a L3240HST and later traded the L3240HST to a B3200.
When you sit on a B and then sit on a Grand L it feels like you've moved from one level of Heaven to another different level. Same Heaven but another totally different level of Heaven.
I've also promoted bigger isn't better, it's just bigger and also a B vs BX vs L are different, not necessarily better just different. I've bought some that have been to little, some to big and some just right for the job, that's the key, the job. One to big to me from my experience is just as bad as one to little for the job.

I hear ya. I love the size of the B, it just fits so well for where I need to go but it is just kinda light to really do the job. So I am hoping the L3800 might just be the perfect fit of grrrr and size.:confused2::laughing:

With all the different specs I have read lately, it would not surprise me.

Own the B3200 and drove the new L3200. For me the L is the way to go. I was never interested in the L series before because I like the curved boom design that a lot of these new tractors have. It's much easier to see doing loader work. The new L3200/3800 have that style + the beef I want.

If my property was flat or a bit less hillside, I'd "probably":) still have the L3240HST Grand.
