Factory set 2500 I read somewhere three thousand is rated for pump. I suspect Kubota keeps on light side.

It's not so much about the pump, it's about the design of the components like FEL, maximum force without bending things etc.. You may have no issues, but just be aware that your loader will now be overloaded from design spec before the relief valve actuates etc., and something "could" break or bend.

How do you know it's set at 2900psi now? Did you use a guage? Was the guage calibrated? Where was the guage in the system? Do you think the small returns are worth hundreds or thousands of dollars in damage? Obviously you're having doubts if you are on here asking.

Yes used a gauge. Checked at fel connection which is where I致e seen Kubota service check them. My view is there are three different loaders they put on these tractors. Mine is a 1055 the heaviest for the L series. If it was the lowest loader and forgive me I do not know the number I would not have changed. I do know they all use the same pressure. And if I知 correct they test equipment structure to one and a half to two times there capacity. The worst I can see is a cylender or hose failure. The key is to know how to use your equipment.

While knowing how to use the equipment that you have helps, I have always believed the "key" is to use the right tool or equipment for the job. If a heavier capacity FEL is required then perhaps a larger tractor with a higher rated FEL should be something to think about.

If and I do mean if the math is correct on my part it should only be about 400 lbs more capacity. I would think there stress factors are much higher than that, at least I hope so.
