kubota zd21 will not start

hi all,new here i have a kubota zd21 mower with an on going prob,it would not start unless i jump started it ,but good battery it would just click,just replaced the starter,same prob now it will not start with the jump either,new starter is hook up right any ideas will be really helpful

It's tough to solve a problem from miles away, but I have a ZD21 also. If I were having the problems you are, I'd begin by checking the seat safety switch, switch on the parking brake and associated electrical circuits. Also check your fuses and the pto switch. If you don't find the problem and have a dealer you're well aquainted with - talk to one of the mechanics as these machines typically have the same issues over time. Nothing beats someone who has had the same problem you have that solved theirs. Good luck!

I have a ZD21 also and I had a no start issue one time. I traced it to the big electrical plug under the ignition switch. I found that a wire had been pulled back in the plug, a big red one I believe, so even though the plug was connected, that particular wire was not making contact. Take the plug apart and make sure all the terminals are where they need to be in both the male and female side of the plug. It is easy to do and might be your problem. good luck

I also have a ZD 21. I have had this problem several times. A couple time it was the micro switch on the park brake. Some dirt etc. got in there and wouldn't let the little switch lever move fully. Another time was my key switch it's self. It wasn't putting enough juice to the starter solenoid to engage the starter. I would definitely check the safety switches first. I have disabled most of mine. Good luck.

I have a zd21 want start glow plug light comes on no others ohmed out the big plug checked the safety switches except the seat did ohmed wire but could not fixture out how to get to the switch
