I'm considering a Kubota workshop manual and I'd like to know anyones opinion on their worth. My understanding is they do not include a parts listing and that manual is at an aditional cost.

I do not own one either but want to get one also. Yes from what I've seen there is two manuals service & part that are sold separately.

I recently purchased a parts manual for my BX22 on ebay. It came on a CD and is somewhat helpful. Yep, parts and workshop manuals are two separate
manuals. I just like to be able to go to parts department with part numbers already in hand. This by the way is the first time I have been able to post and have found several useful tidbids of info. See ya, JL

I'm fallowing an ebay bid that includes the tractor, Loader and backhoe for an L35-TLB. It's up to $152.50 and there's still 15 minutes left on the bid. That's a used Workshop Manual without a parts listing. Ouch!

yea, no need to pay for it. We'll give you whatever you want. The stuff you download online often out of date anyway. Parts numbers supercede and designs change all the time.

Messicks,

I also would like a shop manual for my M4800SU. My FIL has one for his JD 820. Bought it at Tractor Supply for $20.00. What's the deal with Kubota not releasing anything to the aftermarket? $103.00 for the Shop Manual and Supplement from my dealer!!!!! Ouch!!

I'm not sure its got anything to do with Kubota. There is nothing stopping anyone from writing a shop manaul and selling it. There is probably just not a large enough market for it. That is, short of them just opening it up for anyone to sell.

Let me tell you... $125 is CHEAP. We're paying as much as $1500 for our own copies of some of the larger stuff from New Holland.

Hey what a deal, Messicks if you are giving manuals away I would like one.

We don't give them away, but if you need screen shots of parts breakdowns or instruction on making a repair we will help.

Thanks. I'm not sure what the $125.00 will get me, but I'll probably order it.

pparently the TractorSmart.com website is unavailable. I have tried numerous times the morning to access the site with no luck! Any other sources for shop/service manuals for a BX24?

I bought mine for L4740 HST from Messicks. I found it to be an excellent source of information.

I purchased a shop manual for my L3010 and decided I really did not need it. If I remember correctly it was a little over $100.

If all you are doing is basic maintenance then I would save the money and buy super UDT instead.

Service Repair Manuals and Parts Catalogs are seperate from every company I have worked with, at least for larger equipment. Part numbers change frequently but how to take them apart and put them back together (at Caterpillar we called it D&A or Disassembly and Assembly) doesn't often change. Printed parts catalogs are always out of date - believe me, from the engineering side, they aren't printed before something changes. Getting parts info on line is the way to go. Go into a Caterpillar dealer's Technical Communicator's office and you used to see bookcases all over filled with printed service manuals. Then it changed to DVD's, and now almost every dealer mechanic gets their information on line. I have a CD for my Polaris Sportsman, get everything on line for my Cat mini-excavator, but my Kubota stuff has never broke down (yet) so I haven't had to worry. My father-in-law did trash 2 gears out of my brother-in-law's smaller Kubota with manual transmission and we did buy a service manual for that a couple years ago. Wasn't too hard to find the problem and repair it compared to the estimate the dealer gave. Cost for the manual easily paid for itself.

Sorry to re-open an older thread - but I've been looking to get the Service Manual for my B3200 and the BH77 backhoe - are these still available?

I checked out the Messicks link above to the manuals - but I don't see the B3200 listed there.

Has Kubota gone electronic on these?
