Kubota vs Deere HST Comparison

I'm in the process of selling my L3130 and am considering either the Kubota 5740 (or 5240) or Deere 4720 (or 4320) as a replacement. The one thing I like about the Deere is the availability of the air seat and I would be willing to give up a little to get it.

I know the new HST Plus addresses some of the original HST issues. My question is how does the HST Plus compare to the Deere eHydro? I know the Deere has Stall Guard and such. What advantage(s), if any, would I be giving up by going with the Deere?

The hst+ has hi lo in each of the three ranges, it also has hydrostat responce so you can customize the way the machine operates to you. I dont think you will find these features on the JD ?

Kubota's adjustments also allows you to adjust the hydro for stalling. By running a 3130 most people would not need the stall gaurd other then for new operators. Otherwise you will find the six range far more benificial.
One prior owner we swapped a 4310 from stated it was nice as he didn't have to keep reseting the cruise speed when he needed to slow down for rough areas, he just dropped it a 1/2 range with his finger from the steering wheel.

With Kubota's system I think you will find that it is the best system on the market today in that class of tractors.

The Kubota's also have auto-throttle which has been a huge hit with many people. Its a bit hard to explain how all these things work together, but auto throttle, stall guard, and auto-HDS all work together to make about the best loader work transmission you could ask for. Deere has stall-guard, thats it.
