Messicks prices looked good until I added shipping.. Ouch! Anyone have a discount source for Kubota hydraulic oil (UDT2) ? Thanks!

Your best bet is probably picking it up at a local Kubota dealer.

With shipping costs included Messicks was about $40. less than he local dealer's price. I get around the state so I'll check some others before I swallow this pill.

Wow. I never would have guessed that with shipping Messicks was cheaper.

I will say that for HST machines it's best (IMHO) to stick with the sudt2. I just did the 400h service on my tractor to the tune of 11.4 gallons of trans fluid.

Yeah... He's the only dealer for 100 miles or so ... I have the manual trans w/4x4...I think the trans is 42.5 qts. I'm also going to do the front axle which takes 8.5 qts. There're more dealers down state and maybe more price competition. We'll see.

Update: Went with Hoober out of PA. Kubota UDT fluid (shop manual specifies to use either)... fiftyone qts + the two Kubota filters came to $356.09.... price includes shipping.

I went with Mears Tractor - $56 per 2.5 Gal Jug of Super UDT2 - needed three jugs (7.5 Gal) for my B21 in May - they shipped for $20 - total was $178. with shipping. I could have picked it up (20 mi one way) but for $20 shipping it didn't make sense.

Regular UDT is less $ too, did you get SuperUDT2 or UDT? Mears has a location in Elliott Maine too.

Yeah it is getting expensive
My Ms are $1000 each to do all fluids and filters. My Massey is even more
Except for the break in period oils change, beginning to think there is some gratuitous overkill built into the frequency of the fluid changes.
I had 2 different dealer service techs tell me it is overkill and they have some customers actually never change the fluid, just change filters and top off!!! No problems either.
I wouldnt recommend doing that
When I drain my oil, I take it to my buddy who uses it to heat his shop. Last couple times I took it in, he actually added it to his backhoe hydraulic system. He said it was too clean to waste as heating oil
