Kubota UDT .vs. Kubota Super UDT

I am coming up to my first service. I was wondering what the difference is between UDT and Super UDT? I would assume that Super UDT is better since the price is double. Is it worth the extra money?

Super UDT is a synthetic hydraulic oil.

Plenty of debates on TBN about synthetic versus dino engine oil. The same opinions apply to hydraulic oil. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW, I just switched to Amsoil hyd fluid in my NH TC25D in an effort to quiet the hydraulic noise in winter. The theory being that since synthetic hyd fluid flows better when cold, it will make less noise. I'll be testing this theory out this winter. Depending upon where you live in Virginia, this could apply to you as well.

I'd install the Super UDT, if I were you. It wouldn't hurt, may help, and it'll be in there for the 300 hours, right? My New Holland dealer doesn't even stock the NH brand of synthetic. Since he's also Kubota dealer, he uses Super UDT in the NH tractors, too. Since the price of the Super UDT was about the same as Amsoil, and Amsoil could be delivered to my door /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif versus a drive to the dealer, that's what I installed this past weekend.
