Is there a better or cheaper substitute for Kubota hydraulic oil?

I drop in or call a lot of dealerships around the South as I travel and only a few are willing to price match the dealerships that are willing to sell the UDT2 at a lower rate. I needed a 5 gallon bucket last week, and had to pay what my local dealership wanted, which was one fifty five sixty one out the door.
In the bank statement, when I marked what that transaction was for, I simply noted "Liquid gold". I won't be putting my grapple back on the tractor until I have replaced the seals in the cylinders! A little leak goes a long way with the UDT2!
In answer to your question, I don't know of one, and with the shuttle shift, I am not willing to try others. Just the shuttle shift part by itself lists for almost four thousand dollars, with no labor included, so I just keep adding and changing the UDT2 as necessary!

I've been wanting to try Petro Canada Duratran synthetic as Petro Can is a quality oil and I get it at cost, but been too nervous to switch.
So I use the Duratran in my old tractors.

I'm almost scared to see how much the SUDT is now. I had a stock of it at home here so haven't had to buy any since the covid gouging began.

Even the shelf price of Petro Can was scary until I got my discount.

It has wet brakes..use the correct oil.

Mobil 424 is a very high quality oil that meets or exceeds Kubuta udt specs. Unless you operate in a lot of sub zero weather it should be more than up to the job. I purchased a 55 gallon drum about 18 months ago for $725.00. A lot of dealers stock it. You can buy 5 gallon pails, do not know pricing on them.

Other than what came in my M9000's, never used Kubota lubricants but I do use lubricants that exceed the Kubota specs. In fact the transmission oil I use is actually slightly more costly that Kubota SUDT.
