kubota steering wheel cap

Any tips on how to keep a kubota steering wheel center cap to stay on? Mine seems to catch on anything (like my sleeve) and pop out.

Plus when I look at the "hooks" on the back of the cap, it looks like when they match the wheel holes, the K is not centered. Confusing.....

Different subject, I decided today to keep the knob that opens my hood off the tractor, as I have had it unscrew itself when clearing brush. It's amazing I even found it today later on the ground where i was working. Plus today (first time) a stick pushed off my fan belt while I was working. Weird.

Seems like they would have come up with a more secure way to keep those caps on.

I haven't actually lost mine yet, but it's just a matter of time so probably next order of parts to Messicks I'll add one. $21.

with $60k+ for the tractor and implements it would bother me not to have some sort of cap covering the hole and nut.

I used silcone on mine 30 years ago to keep water out. Tractor now steers in the winter where it used to freeze up in the steering box.
