ok...This just occurred for the first time today. When I was done mowing, I turned the ignition key off and pulled the stop switch and my B7500 sputtered for about 5 to 10 seconds before completely shutting off. Thought it was a fluke, so restarted and it did again. I will see what it does tomorrow. It almost acted like the old spark knock you get with gasoline engines. The tank was almost empty, so I did fill it up with new diesel before today's mowing. Bad fuel?? Any thoughts?

I take it your machine has a manual pull type shutdown.
Sounds to me like the shutdown cable or linkage needs lubed or adjusted and is not pulling the shutdown all the way off.

That sounds like the fuel shutoff isn't closing completely.
Maybe a small piece of dirt got lodged in the shutoff valve or the shutoff cable needs some lubrication??

Yes, manual pull switch. Thanks for the suggestions. Much appreciated
