The storage box works good for me. I have 2 or 3 different hitch mounts in it with various pins, rope, clevises, etc.

We had a sunny 50 degree day today, dealer changed the engine oil/filter prior to delivery, today I decided I'd give the tranny fresh filters and change out the tranny fluid with some Super UDT2 so I have fresh fluids all the way around. Cleaned out the air filter as well. She's now up to 82 hours on the clock.

For plastic windshields, store them out of direct sunlight. Before cleaning rinse off with fresh water then use a soapy clean cotton rag or micro fiber to wash it down, then dry with a clean cotton towel. Never ever use paper towels on plastic/lexan....all it does is scratch the surface each time & before you know it it's cloudy.

MotorSeven is right on the mark here. Someday you might have some mud or something on the windshield and think about taking a short cut and wipe it off real quick -- don't do it.

Took advantage of the warm day and hosed off the windshield inside and out, used a squeegee to remove water, worked out pretty well. Gonna stay away from the Windex and paper towels.

Congrats on the new toy.... I have a loaner RTV 900 while my RTV1140 CPX is enroute from the factory..... I posted a thread on UTV ballast just a minute ago, but needless to say, the RTV 900 is a rock haulin' machine..... more torque that I thought it or any UTV would have..... I've purposely taken it on the steepest trails through my woods loaded down with granite rock to see if I can get her to stall..... so far, aside from the partial "wheelie", she's been like a billy goat without a hint of running out of power..... keep her in low, 4x4, and I'm pretty sure she'll climb a tree with a full load in her box.... enjoy

Just got a new Kubota 1120D. And love it. The wife Luvs it to more so than the quads I sold to get it. With 0% financing swinging the new one was easy. Added a winch and a front driving light. Plan on adding a rear work light and rino liner to the bed. This is definitely a little tank, though I got it stuck in some deep mud out back but that winched saved me. Was thinking about the windshield but after the reading what you all wrote I will forgo. Hers a pic

What was said to talk you out of a windshield?

I wouldn't be without one.

Nice machine Combustix, I would definitely recommend the windshield. Mine came with a factory plastic one, it's still in good shape. If I ever need to replace it, I might go with glass and a wiper. It cuts down on the rain/snow/cold wind in your face for sure.

ditto

It's all how you clean them. I have been dumbfounded more than once at gas stations. I see a nice bike pull in and fill up, then the rider goes over to the paper towel rack(I'm thinking...noooooooooooo), yep, pulls a few off, dips them in that tepid cauldron of dissolved bug parts juice that the squeegee sits in, then proceeds to scrub his/her motorcycle windshield "clean"...........................{sigh}

My yet to be delivered RTV 1140 CPX, April 22, will have installed the Mammoth Skins Aero-Vent windshield, with upgraded scratch resistant Lexan material, MR10, same "glass" used in all Nascar race cars. I talked with quite a few folks who have it who claim its "virtually" scratch proof.
