They are an excellent workhorse but of course it depends on what work you have to do.

We have an RTV900 and love it, we have had it almost 4 years and 450 hours on the tack. It plows snow pretty well, but it depends on what kind and how much snow you have (you don't have your location specified). It's good for a half foot of snow or a bit more. Of course it won't be good for 2' of wet snow.

Of course your needs may be different but I would not want the RTV1100 with the closed cab unless I could take the doors off for most of the year. To me, the doors would just get in the way and would be a PITA for typical use.

The doors come off of the 1100 pretty easily.

What do you plow with now? I have lots of equipment and love my RTV1100, however it would never meet my plowing needs. If it's all you got or you can plow "with the storm" then you can make it work. My 2 cents.

I don't know, but my 1100 does a fine job of plowing..As you said, have to keep up with the storm...Less than a foot of normal stuff at a time as I've found.

My situation requires plowing and blowing miles of dirt and gravel road into our farms and out buildings. A 200 HP JD with a large plow on the front and a very large blower on the 3 point or a lg dump truck with a plow. Snow most years falls and blows too fast to plow with the storm so you may be plowing 30 inches or forced to blow the real deep drifted areas. If you have a lane or a driveway in mind I'm sure the RTV will do it.

I have the RTV 1140 with no cab and I don't plow or blow snow I just drive through it with my Grands.:) I needed/wanted te seating for 4 but it has carried 7 and the dog.
With the back seat folded it has a big bed for hauling whatever you want to haul with hydraulic lift.
The RTV is big, not fast and a workhorse when needed. Gets great fuel consumption. Uses very little.
I made my own windshield and now plan to cut it across the middle and hinge it for summer and I made my own top but rain filling it killed it so bought the "rubber/plastic" one from the dealer. I have no a/c or heat other than what comes up off of the motor.

Kubota makes a good machine, I have never owned one but two of my close neighbors have them and I have used and operated both fairly often. I have also seen how they compare to my 825I Gator and to the Polaris I had prior. The kubota, as mentioned is a working machine. This is not to say one cannot do trail riding, but the RTV does not have true MFWD and marginal suspension clearance. It also is a dog for speed due to its poor power-weight ratio--which also affects hauling at times. By all accounts they are well-made, comfortable, and a solid work machine. I also think, though expensive, they offer a good value and strong resale because people want them (even used). This can be huge, given their high initial price. They are not the best in the class of UTV's right now but they are good machines that are competitive in many important areas.

I use my 11 for nothing but hauling stuff around and general R&R. I hunt and scout from this thing all the time. The cab is great in either hot or cold. The power is adequate however more would be welcome. I'm ordering a SWAG turbo kit in Feb which will help. Even with a turbo it will never be a ranger or rhino. It's a well built piece of equipment with only a few limits. I purchased my rtv 7 months ago and have not questioned my decision yet.
