Stupid question of the day. What does the second set of numbers stand for? BX1860 obviously 18hp, what is the 60? series? What does that tell me? I'm new to the nice tractor thing, have had a couple real rough ones, this is my first nice tractor. Just found out they make an 1830, and an 1800. Just wondering.........

yup ! bx1860 is in the 60 series. bx2350 in 50 series.

TO make it a bit more complicated- if you know that BX24 was released and sold at same time as the BX2350, then you know BX24 is the 50 series except it has a BH. same with BX25 is 60 series in same group as BX1860

I am sure someone with more knowledge and detail will speak up, but generally the second set of numbers denotes a newer model in that same size. Sometimes a wrench is thrown in such as in the B2620/2630 when it really denotes different features manufactured at the same time.

I don't think there is a "simple" explanation.

There is no such thing as a lame question; ask away and someone will be able to help you and usually far better than I.
