Kubota new Z122R or used ZG124E?

I've been looking into buying a new ZT to mow little less than an acre...FLAT residential area. So I went shopping.....Dealer down the road has a used ZG124E (B&S). Then I looked at a new Z122R. $3899 for the Z122R and can possibly get the 124E for $3000 cash...it has about 190 hours on it and is a 2013. Yea I could save about 800 bucks but what would you guys recommend? I'm about 85% towards the new 122R.

OK...now my head is just spinning!
Z122R 42" Kaw=$3899
Z121S 48" Kohl=$4979
Z122E 48" B&S=$4529

The 2013 Z124E 48" B&S =$3900 listed. Can get for $3000/$3200.

Should I save my casg and buy the used 124E? Does the motor brand justify spending a grand+? And lastly, anyone with a 124E happy with their mower...good bad buy one of the others listed? Yea, I can't make up my mind.......

I'd go with a Kohler or Kawasaki motor...Not a fan of B&S anymore...Unless you know the lineage of the used one, I'd go new. You can't believe the amount of abuse that can be heaped on equipment in 200hrs.

I agree and did buy the one with the Kawasaki engine. Man doing some concrete work for me last week saw mine and said his dad owned a mower with Kaw engine and they had done nothing to it in 10 years other than filters and lubricant changes. Dealer also told me they have had no issues with Kaw engine.

Made the right decision. Awesome little machine!! Mulch kit install in the morning.

I have the mulch kit in the box ready to install but other more pressing projects first. Can you do a detailed narrative of your install to help me prepare. I did add a spring lift to the seat (this is my wife's Z) and my wife loves it. Also added a roof canopy that I had from a former Kubota tractor which interferes some with tree limbs but I use a F3080 and can get what she misses.
