The MX5800 specifications indicate the engine employs a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) but there is no mention of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).

The L6060 is their upper end model at similar horsepower but is indicated to have both DPF and EGR.

Anyone know whether their MX series has EGR?

Yes, the MX series, including the 5800 has an EGR system. There are no user serviceable parts. The 1500 hour inspection & cleaning should be done by the dealer. See page 89 of the owners manual.

Thanks for the tip.
I checked the online manual and it includes a frequency for checking and replacing the EGR coolant hose. It does appear to have EGR.

Is your engine oil loaded with soot when you change it?
