Kubota M7040

Good Day all,

Today I test drove a M7040 with about 1800hrs. It is 4x4, has the hydraulic shuttle & FEL, open station, 1 set of remotes being used for 3rd option for FEL and not loaded tires. (Not sure of the year)
This dealer here in Canada is asking 36K (26K US) for this tractor which I definitely think is too much, but what do you think would be a good offer on my part? No trade.

That does sound highly over priced especially being an open station. I can't remark as to the Canadian market differences and to some extent everything is local. Do your online homework ie; tractorhouse, iron planet, etc.

My M6040 with hyd shuttle, FEL, single rear remote and loaded tires had 1100 hrs when I bought it for $26k USD and I felt I got a good deal.
I realize a cab is a big premium over an OS but this give you some comparison.

M7040SU or M7040 ? SU is a basic tractor, non SU is deluxe.

Prices have gone nuts, 5 years ago I looked at a 700 hour M7040 (not SU) 4x4 hyd shuttle, open station 2 remote and loader for 33K CDN.

No pollution stuff on a M7040 or M7040SU.....selling point over a new M7060 which an 8 speed one outfitted the same would is just under 50K CDN now.

By your description, this sounds like a basic tractor, so it should be a basic price. Toward the bottom end of the scale, whatever that is. Way too many unknowns for me to get more specific than that.
