Has anybody priced the difference? What are people's opinion when you compare the two models both have the same financing deals.

I am pricing both with a loader, will not have a tractor without it.

1) one rear hydralic
2) least 60 to 65 HP at PTO
3) need a shuttle transmission

Either one will do just fine.
Take them for a spin, look and talk to dealer.
Choose and then pay$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Most important is to choose a dealer you will be happy with and will be there for the duration of your ownership of the tractor during warranty service.

have you taken both tractors for a test work out? sometimes tractors of the same HP and size, and price may not seem the same once you put your seat in the seat! By that i mean one may feel more comfortale to you than the other.

I am personally biased toward New Holland since I've owned 2 TN75's. They are both good tractors. One minor point is that the Kubota is a new model and may have some growing pains. The Kubota is also quite a bit lighter and has significiently less 3 pt hitch capacity.

There are a lot of TN users on this forum and I believe they are happy with their purchaces. The TN platform is tried and true. I suspect you'd be happy with either tractor.

Andy, being a recent TN70 buyer (used TN), i love it. I assume that the M7040 would be just a nice. I did not know it was lighter?

On paper they look quite a bit lighter because they are weighed with a standard rim, most dealers will order them with cast or cast disc rims to help balance it out. Its still a touch on the light side, but not as much as it appears. We do sell both, the TN is a very proven platform. I do think that the Kubota feels a bit more refinded in operation and egronomics. Both are good tractors.

You are in a great situation, to be able to compare the tractors. What is a cast disc rim?

A cast disc wheel is the wheel center that you bolt to the axle hub with lug nuts and on it's outside diameter it fastens to the rim. Most heavy Ag tractors have this option instead of stamped steel which would be thinner and lighter weight.

I have no doubt both are fine tractors. I drove the M7040 (also M6040) recently. My only thought is do not drive the cab model M7040 unless you are ready to buy a cab model! I almost bought more tractor than I need because of that cab, particularly the seat - unbelievable comfort.
