That's quite a rack you have there Brian...... ;)

Ugh.................. OK if you say so. Enough of getting side tracked, here are some pics of the mount by itself. The mount itself is about 100lbs & just pins onto the OEM weight bracket.

Brian, why did you paint the machine blue? I do like blue better.

Brian, why did you paint the machine blue? I do like blue better.

Back when I was looking at new tractors (for 2 years:eek:) and I had found the Mahindra 7520 which had just been released. (2004) I liked everything about the tractor, except that I really don't care for the color red. The sales guy was getting antsy after about a week and asked me what the problem was, why wasn't I buying the tractor? I told him that I liked the tractor, just that I didn't like red and I wasn't sure how much it was going to bother me to be looking out over that red hood all day. He asked if the color was the only reason that I wasn't buying the tractor, and I said that yes, the red was the problem. He answered that they would paint the tractor at no charge if it would sell the tractor. I hadn't really even thought about having it painted, but agreed that a paint job would make the sale with one exception. I did not want a free paint job. After all, what kind of a job would they do if they were doing it for free?  Told the guy for them to figure out what their cost was going to be to do it right and that I would pay for that cost.

So now I have a nice New Holland blue Mahindra 7520 tractor instead of a faded red tractor. :cool2:

Good input Davidsan!!! I wonder what that bracket costs if you go to the dealership and buy it thru Parts???

Ovrszd, I know when I bought mine (bracket and weights) from the dealer, the weights and bracket were exactly what the 'Build it now' price was, and that was before we did a little negotiatin'. I would say it should be very close. The 'Build it now' price is supposed to be MSRP. Here's a pic of mine with the smaller bracket mounted between the grill guard.FuelTanklift.JPG

Same for the bracket and weights on the BX. I got aftermarket weights for a little less. They were still a hair over a dollar a pound. I got use l series bracket anf adapted it.

That's quite a testimony for Mahindra tractors, even if only for that model. After researching for two years, you chose what you considered the superior machine, objectively.

Kudos to your dealer for thinking outside of the box.

That is a nice looking bracket, I hope the bracket that I ordered will fit in my grill guard like that but if it doesn't I may weld a grill guard on to the weight bracket itself.

Goodluck with the new bracket. You'll enjoy the extra weight on the frontend, especially if you are on some uneven surfaces with a cutter on the back. Post a pic when you get it all setup!

Good job on the bracket Brian. What I like best is the ease of mounting/dismounting the bracket. Makes it a lot more desirable to use.

Your dealer may have some offbrand weights that are similar to the Kubota weights for less money.

Yeah I agree. Almost all brands of suitcase weights will fit your bracket. Shop around. Make it a goal to not pay $1 per pound for weights. They can be found much cheaper with patience and diligence. Have you got any used machinery lots around. I'm talking about the kind that you never pay much attention to and look like they haven't sold anything forever. They've usually got a pile of used weights laying in the weeds.

I looked high and low and could not find weights for my bx for $1 a pound. I am glad I did not need a lot.

I took pics of the bracket but I didn't put it on the tractor yet because it wont fit with the factory bumper/grill guard so i'm going to fab up a grill guard on the weight bracket so I wont loose any protection, i will probably make something like you have ovrszd.
