Anyone know what type of oil to run in the front wheel hub on this tractor? A friend just did some repairs on the RH front hub. It has a ring gear and pinion with a planetary and it had 80w90 gear oil in it. just checking if that is what it is supposed to have. Thanks in advance.

SAE 90 is more suited to the pre-100 series tractors. MF recommends Perm-A-Tran 3 or any good Trans/Hyd/Diff oil meeting M1129A specs.

My 1995 M4700/M5800 manual specifies Kubota Super UDT, or SAE 80 or SAE 90.
