I've been putting up hay for a man that owns a M125X with about 2000 hours on the clock.

Sometimes there is a yellow flashing light on the dash that shows the lower 3 point arm or "lift arm" with an arrow showing it moving upward. Sometimes there isn't.

To see the light in question click here. This is the newer style dash, but same concept. Look right above the red ((!)) park brake symbol.

If you turn the tractor on and the light comes on immediately its stays on. If you turn the tractor on and the light doesn't come on immediately then it never will.

I guess I don't understand what it is telling me and why it sometimes comes on and other times it doesn't. I'm not using the 3 point hitch and the arms are always all the way up to clear the baler tongue.

Anybody have a clue as to what is going on?

It's telling you the 3-point hitch position doesn't match where it was when you shut down. Move the hitch down a bit and then back up. The light should go out. If the tractor has only been parked for a short time, the hitch won't have moved enough to trip it.

It also happens if you use the fender switches to move the hitch when hooking up.

Okay thanks! As long as it's not telling me it is going into self destruct mode!

Now, another stupid question, what do the plus and minus buttons on the side of the arm rest do? Mine don't seem to do anything at all.

Can't help on that one. I don't have that tractor, but I recognize the hitch icon.

Should be up and down shifting on the power shift.

That is what I thought. The 3 point hitch up/down buttons on the arm rest do not work either. I suppose I need to look for a bad connection somewhere or perhaps a fuse?

Well you were spot on about the wire harness being the problem. Looks as though the wires got under the seat and were cut.
