Kubota Loader Multi-Coupler system

Found out the hard way that if the lever used to couple the bank of connectors doesn't move freely, you need to bleed off the pressure in the loader. Last week I removed the loader on a cold (in the 40's) damp day. Yesterday was our hottest day of the year for Northern MN, in the mid-90's. Drove in to the loader fine but when I tried to couple the hoses, it was impossible to rotate the locking lever so I got where I could give more force. Remember, previously this had been as easy as closing the door. Well, I got it connected but with oil leaking everywhere. When I tried the loader oil would spurt out the face between the mating blocks. Called the dealer who gave me the bad news that more than normal force means blown seals and new couplers needed, which means yet another wait for the Kubota parts system. I need my tractor so I plumbed around the Multi-Coupler using Pioneer couplers and am back running but the loader is no longer quick attach. I had thought of this system as a connect under pressure capable system but the dealer assured me it s no although it is not mentioned in the book. So my problems with my new Kubota have both been with the loader - the KRS (Kubota Ride System) blows oil all over if it s turned on and now I find the Multi-Coupler has its limitations.

Ironically, I was just googling to find how to convert my FEL quick couplings to a mono block system, wondering if I could, and how much it would cost. Then I just checked the "new posts" and saw yours. Has anyone else had issues with their monoblock systems?

Do you know if your Kubota multi coupler system is fairly standard? Or is it pretty specific to your tractor. I wonder if I could order one as an aftermarket add on to my tractor if the hoses are the same size and thread type.

I think most all are just like you described, and prone to leak problems... Had the same type of leak with a Westendorf loader on a Case IH tractor... did as you and plumbed around with pioneer couplers...
This is just anotther 'looks good on paper' but fails in actual use...

Reads like a case of oil expanding due to high temps. The dealers should send out some special warning about disconnecting and later reconnecting at a significantly higher temp.

The dealer's first comment to me was that I didn't stop the tractor and relieve all pressure before uncoupling, but In this case I am positive I did. Simple explanation for me was the pressure rise due to heat. Have double acting cylinders all around, temp rise s over 30 degrees just due to weather and then a person needs to add thermal expansion due to the sun beating down on the components, when I've had the problem with my L5740 and the conventional 4 coupler system, it has been gat a rag, wrap the hose end, and press the coupler against something to relieve the pressure. With the new system no such opportunity. I saw the pic of the Grand L 60 system and it seems similar except having an additional coupler with the third function. Hope it works out. I will probably repair mine when the dealer gets the parts but the Pioneer couplers will stay handy.
