yep, Im shure the dealership has one.
really i have never seen a tractor sold at RRP, the reason they wont disclose the information you you are after is so that you dont have the upper hand when it comes to bargaining the deal. it is easy for the customer if he knows the buy price.

when i posted i was actually talking about the bit at the top of your link which talked about the dealer margins etc. i sorta doubt if kubota or the dealers want the general public to know this. like i said its been a long time since i saw a machine sell for RRP.

In my wanderings here on TBN, I've generally heard that John Deere tends to stay at 10% or less off List Price. Kubota tends to stay around 13-15% off List Price. I didn't pay much attention to any other brands so can't help you there. But with this info, I could look at List Price and make a fairly good assessment of what I would have to pay and/or what might be a good price.

the dealers (well here in OZ anyway) can get a better discount if they buy ahead or buy a few of the same model. there fore a larger dealer or one which is really switched on may possibly be able to give you a better deal. the oldest trick in the book is to ask for a cash price with no trade, then ask about the value of the trade a bit later. the salesmen hate this because they cant shuffle the money around so it looks like they are giving you a good price for the trade. just about guarantees they are on bottom dollar straight away, as opposed to the 4th visit which is the normal

Should have a price configurator up and running soon, I have used the prototype and it is nice, allows you to spec the tractor the way you want it.

Not all dealers are honest, I've had friends get huge trade in allowances on used cars just to pay MSRP on the new one people are people, it can be difficult to find honnest people in any selling enviroment

i wasnt pointing the finger at anyone in particular here. you guys may not but i can bet my 1st born that there are quiet a few who do.
but obviously none of the good people who post on this forum would be involved in such shadie dealiing.
the norm here in OZ is to quote a change over price. because after all it not what you paid or what the trade was worth, its what it cost you at the end of the day.

There is nothing dishonest about getting as much money as you can for anything that you sell. Just as there is nothing dishonest in paying as little as possible for anything you are buying. If as a dealer you charge too much some other dealer will sell to your potential customer for less. That’s just good old fashion capitalism. It is completely the responsibility of the buyer to do their own due diligence.
I live in Maine and ended up having my new Grand L3130 with 723 FEL shipped to me from Indiana. I saved over $4000.00 vs. the best price I could get in ME or NH.

I fully understand that, what bothers me is the lying and games, I walk into a dealer for just about anything and they start lying to me to sell me something, it must work with most people, but I always buy elsewhere
