Kubota L6060 OE Air ride seat not functioning properly?

My OEM (Granmar I assume) air ride seat will kill the PTO on my L4060hstc occasionally. If I'm off-camber a bit & bounce just right the arm rest can hit the PTO switch. Not quite what was being discussed, but slightly annoying. Not annoying or frequent enough to remember to complain to the dealer about it (it's in the shop now for hydraulic warranty issues) or try to loosen bolts & shift the seat 1/2" over though.

My 2009 Kubota M6040 has the OEM mechanical suspension seat. It's just fine for me. An awful lot of the ride on my M6040 is due to its weight - 10,100# - and the fact that the rears are Rim Guard filled and set at ~ 16 psi. Going down my driveway the seat will go thru its full range of travel.

Then again - when working the tractor I seldom go over 7 mph.

You might want to take a tape measure to compare OEM suspension and OEM Grammar width and depth.

I went back to the dealer today and sat in the air ride seat. I bounced up and down pretty hard and the seat seemed fine to me. I could get it to bottom out but it took a lot of force to do so. I think I will be happy with the seat. Time will tell.

I put an MSG-75 in my L5740 and it has been great. Isn't that what they are using in the L6060??? I am 160 lbs, it might be worth stating your weight if you do/dont like a particular seat. The MSG75 is narrow, I can imagine a bigger guy might not like it.

Wow, my experience with the air ride seat in my L6060 is contrary to most of the posts in this thread. I'm quite happy with mine. I've ridden several air seats in other tractors and I find the optional Grammer on the L6060 to be comparable. I'm 6' 2" 250# and I'll admit the seat adjustment takes some time to get dialed in. Once set, it's far more comfortable than the OEM seat. Yes, I can bottom it out but it takes a real shock to do so. After mowing 7 acres of former pasture, riddled with wood chuck holes, my back would ache for a week with the OEM seat. For me anyway, the difference the air seat makes is just amazing.

I don't know the Grammer model number but the one I have is vinyl upholstered for my open station L6060, not the cloth model for cab tractors. Kubota shipped the cloth seat when I ordered the air ride option and the dealer had to order another one. It's possible what I have is not the same as the Grammar seat Kubota uses.

Your weight may have something to do with it? Maybe the seat doesn't perform well with people in my weight range (~155lbs)? I will say that my buddy (~290lbs) sat in it (adjusted up to his weight) and from what I saw, it acted more like a traditional air ride seat...if that makes sense?
