I am trying to find the part number for a Kubota L48 transmission filter. The Manual makes it look as if the hyd filter and the transmission filter are the same. I'm sure some of you have made the same mistake when you went to do the service work. Can someone give me a good part number for Napa, Fram, or Kubota, or any other filter I can cross reference.

Try this:
WIX Filters : Filter Look-Up
Wix and NAPA are the same filters. Just take the first number off of the Wix to get the Napa number.
Wix only lists an oil and a hydraulic filter so that must be it.

You may be disappointed.
I don't know what engine you have in your L48 but I went through this recently on my L4740 which I think is pretty much the same. Wix had an equivalent filter for the Kubota oil and the hydraulic filters but not the HST transmission filter. The two Wix filters cost about the same as the Kubota filters and the transmission filter from the Kubota dealer cost about $64. So, get out your check book.
