Kubota L48 slow boom lift & lower

My 2002 L48, approx 2500 hrs, used for various sitework and extensive road-grading with FrontRunner grader/rake is experiencing boom lift and lower gagging when fluid is warm. Boom lifts and lowers normally only when bucket rollback or dump is actuated. Suspect problem with regenerative hydraulic circuit. Any ideas?

Just to start with the basics have you changed the hydraulic fluid and filters?

As you probably know....changing filters and fluid on L48 is about $400-500. I would start with inspection first, filters second, and fluid last. Do you have the mechanical spill guard linkage connected? I took mine off, to cumbersome for loading operation.
