Kubota l3940 help

Maybe I been pushing on an imaginary pedal, but I thought it was a clutch (L4240):confused3:

My 3240 hst has a clutch also.

Must have made that switch going into the 60 series then. Do the 40s have a electro-hydraulic actuated PTO? PTO engagement with a manual lever & the clutch was the only use for the clutch on my old L3200. No need for a clutch at all on my L4060 HST with an electro-hydraulic PTO, so it doesn't have one.

Mine has the manual lever. I think the newer 3240's had a switch to engage the PTO, mine has the sliding lever...mine was bought in 2007

There are two different ways the rear PTO engages on a L3940 or any Grand L40, both have a clutch on the left hand side. The earlier version designate L3940 uses the traditional manual lever. The newer model designated as L3940-3 has a yellow rotary electrical switch to actuate the rear PTO and the pressure to the pto clutches (not the clutch by left foot) is controlled electro-hydraulically and RPM dependent.
