kubota L3710 question

I have a question concerning the mid pto and the rear pto on my new 3710. It seems that unless I run the rear pto, my mid mount mower wont run. This presents a big problem as I dont want to have to remove my boom mower off the 3pt hitch or run the hydralics all the time when Im cutting grass. In my owners manual.......it is a little confusing......it talks about independant pto and rear pto , and pto clutch and if you have one or the other and Im just either retarded or simply confused about the whole thing......any thoughts????

There's a separate lever on my L3710 to engage the mid mount PTO independent of the rear PTO. What's your dealer have to say?

Try the big yellow lever on the lower right below the driver's seat.
