have taken tractor twice to dealer with same problem. pto won't disengage. they said they haven't ever encountered this problem before. it has 100 hrs. on it since the first time it was "fixed". this time, they said a bolt was broken off? any suggestions why this keeps happening? kubota doesn't seem to know. i paid $1200.00 on first visit. as i said, it only has had 100hrs put on it since & not all of it was pto driven time. help....kubota l3710 gst

I have had the same problem with mine and it is a simple fix....

The problem is the shaft that goes through the transmission case gets dirty and does not return to the neutral position. Under the right side of the tractor just about under the center of the floorboard you will see where the PTO control cable is connected to the shaft. Spray the shaft with some good penetrating fluid (I use PB Blaster) let is sit for a few, then with the PTO control in neutral move the shaft back and forth. You may have to tap it with a hammer to get it started. I use a long extension to reach it. Work it back and forth until it operates smoothly. Then just keep it clean and you will be good to go!
