Hi I have a L35 Kubota, which is a awesome machine in my opinion, and I have a question on the function of the backhoe controls. I've owned it for 7 years and I have done some impressive work with this little machine and have been using it like this and never ran across another one that I could try so I don't know if this is the way its supposed to be or if its just my machine. My problem is the up-down/left-right backhoe lever has no variable control its like a on/off valve and is very hard to operate. The in-out/curl-dump stick works perfect with nice variable control. I've been to the dealer to see if there is a TSB or anything on this issue and they looked at me like "A what...?" and quoted me $1600 for a whole new valve body. I'm not buying it, I've changed valve sections before by myself, its not that hard if that IS my problem. There is no obsctrctions and I WD40ed the linkage so if there is a problem its internal. I'd really like to nail the problem and fix it without throwing money at nothing. I've have thousands of hours on backhoes and heavy machinery and use something daily and I can't let anyone else use this machine because of its uncontrolable jerkyness, someone can get hurt or wreck something if they don't have any expirience. Is anyone elses machine like this?
I recently demoed a JD 110 I was considering upgrading to. The backhoe works amazing, I was actually really impressed. I wish I could say the same for the loader and tractor itself. IDK if anyone has ever used one but the hydro 2 pedal system is retarded with having to run the rpms WOT and I just don't like the way that works when you are trying to used the front bucket for loader work, u forget what pedal is which and the engine is screaming. I think if you were running a 3pt hitch implement for a long period of time your leg would cramp up holding the pedal down. I love my L35, its simple and basic and its like running every backhoe ever made with the shuttle on the column and GST, and if I got to ride the clutch its just like driving a car cause there is a gas pedal on the right too. NO SALE!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
