2006 Kubota L3400
I’m trying to determine the function of this knob in my 2006 Kubota L3400 HST tractor. Near the floor board goes into the transmission.

I would appreciate any advice that can explain its function, application, etc.

That knob adjusts the speed the 3 pt drops. Different loads on the 3 pt hitch, will make it behave differently, so you adjust this knob to get the desired speed.

Turning the knob all the way to one side, will provide full down speed on the 3 pt. Turning all the way to opposite direction, will lock the 3 pt in place, but will still allow it to raise. It just won't drop.

This is also the most misunderstood control on a tractor and you see this all over the internet. The only thing it does, is regulating the speed the 3pt drops, or if fully closed, locks the 3 pt in place. It will still let the 3 pt raise at full speed.
