Hi,

I'm a new member as of 2 minutes ago and I have a couple of (dumb) questions:

I've read through the hydraulic threads and I know where my site glass is, but is the hydraulic fluid and transmission fluid one and the same? I've read the manual, but didn't learn very much. I have the manual shift model with 8 gears, 4 in high, 4 in low. I see where the filler port is between the hydraulic arms in the back, but I'm concerned that I may have two distinct reservoirs to be concerned about.

l3200 has only one cavity. hydraulics, power steer, loader, 3pl and trans are all the same. check with loader down on very level ground. a slight incline makes a massive difference to the oil level.

Ya, only 1 sump for hydraulics & it's the transmission housing.

I dumped half a bottle (2tbs maybe) of red John Deere hydraulic dye in mine. Never could see that dam crystal clear Super UDT. Always wondered if it was above or below the site glass. Now it's nice & pink & easy to see.
