This would be the easiest solution. I would check that hose under your right foot first.

@airbiscuit thanks these threads help plenty .... the first video makes perfect sense as the steering wheel was wobbly and Tractor left outside.

What I cannot understand is the 3 point hitch having no power.

Yes the tractor had power steering or shall we say was soft and not hard.

Will continue to follow this thread... I will post where this leads me with some pics if possible.

The steering & 3pt are all hydraulic. If there is no fluid, a plugged filter or a bad pump there would be no pressure for the 3pt or power steering. That machine will have a standard open center hydraulic system the same as any other smaller Kubota for the past few decades or most other CUTs.

A lot of the parts manuals on ebay are poor copies of bad copies and then digitized. Some are virtually illegible. Also some of the internet manual advertisers are real scammers/phishers and/or have the same problem with quality. So be careful there. Hard to tell you get it.

When looking for manuals on anything I always try the manufacturer of the product first. Amazing how many have then available for free download in PDF these days. Been there and done that in all of the above as I have bought a lot of used stuff that I need the manual for.

Kubota manuals should be available from the Dealers, probably have to order them. That is where I got mine, paper though. I never take the paper copy to the shop or outside. Copy the pertinent pages. Messicks (a TBN supporter) may have copies of older models, they are very responsive. In time Kubota may follow the company they just bought, Land Pride, they had/have all their manuals on line. I have even used manuals to build my own items using some of their unique parts and fabricating the others.

I would not be w/o my WSM and Parts manuals. They have saved me many times their cost. I made the manuals a condition of buying my new BX as I knew I would be doing my own work a lot; they threw them in the deal at no cost. The Parts manual is invaluable when ordering parts by phone or email. Just the proper nomenclature saves a lot of frustration and then getting the wrong part.

I get a kick out of folks asking us who invested in our manuals for copies of pages. Once in awhile I will bite when I feel sorry for a guy in a real time bind; but I am also sorry, if you can afford a $20K machine you can surely afford $200 for the manuals. Don't get me wrong; I still try to be helpful where I can.

I think I will start a new post on this manual thing using this dialog as a base; might be educational.

Ron, yes!!!! Make a thread about parts manuals... As looked around and bought some manuals online that looked simply bad. And they charge good money for them too... I was so surprised that @ptsg was able to give me a link where I found the Owners Manual complete free! Wow! And in better shape than the ones I bought... Go figure! In this case the adage, 添ou get what you pay didn稚 apply. The link was free and the PDF was in much better quality than the one manual I bought online.

Hello everyone!!!

Ok after much wait... the tractor is working!!!
Things:
1.) Manuals to download from the website were fantastic! I would have navigated blind had it not been for those manuals. I can稚 believe people charge $38 per manual on EBay when it is free online.
2.) Took out Hydraulic filter, pump, and the mounting adapter that connects the hydraulic pump to the engine痴 block.
3.) Cleaned up all the parts by placing them in Diesel fuel. The mounting adapter had to pour a bit of acid (it has no plastic components) for the bearing were not moving.
4.) After cleaning up all the parts, I took out the filter from the casing and cleaned it up with gasoline (no diesel available at the time).
5.) Put it all back together... placed some hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic pump then poured in the hydraulic fluid. (tractor needs 8 gallons!).
6.) Started the engine and the steering wheel worked along with the 3 point hitch - raising up and down.

Thanks to all of you I was able to get the tractor going! So appreciate it!!!
