So I am trying to determine if the Kubota L2180-1 frame and L2184 snow plow will work on a Kubota L4610 with an LA852 loader. I know the loader arms will have to be removed when using the plow but I don't know if the frame will be to remain on the tractor when the loader arms are back on. I don't want to have to remove the frame each time I switch from loader to plow. Also, will the L2180-1 frame even work on an L4610? I know it'll work on a Grand L30 or Grand L40 - not sure on the Grand L10! For some reason finding a list of attachments and accessories for the L4610 is like finding a gnome in a bikini in a South African conflict diamond mine...

View attachment 451134I doubt it's a direct match. The original brochure lists an L2072-1 front blade for all of the Lxx10 Grand L models except the L4610, for which no front blade was offered. The 4610 had the LA852 loader and a heavier front axle than the other xx10 models, so the attachment subframe kit for the 2072-1 likely would not have fit the 4610. Moreover, the LA853 loader on the Lxx30 models, although equivalent to the LA852, had a different subframe design, and the L2180-1 subframe used with the xx30 models - I'm just guessing here - wouldn't match up either.

If it's any help, here's an attachment list from the Lxx10 series brochure.

Thanks for posting that - I'm finding it annoying the L4610 seems to be an odd-man out when it comes to a lot of Kubota attachments. Have you found this true with your experiences?

Really not; it's been more than adequate for everything we've done with it. It was available with a quick-attach loader setup, although mine only has the conventional pin-on type bucket. There are 4610 owners here that have successfully added grapples, etc. to their tractors... not Kubota branded, but there's such a wealth of other stuff that's never been a concern. On the back, it's standard Cat I fare. I use: 72" tiller, 72" box blade, 84" HD scraper blade, 72" cutter, PHD, spreader and subframe backhoe. At one time had a logging winch also. Only the backhoe is Kubota branded (The 84" blade actually came with a Kioti decal on it.).

This tractor is a bit much for a belly mower so I can appreciate why they didn't offer a mid-pto setup for it. I also think it was a first move by Kubota toward the heavy-frame "compacts in name only" tractors that are so popular today, with a strong loader, more hydraulics and heavy-duty front axle. The xx30 and xx40 series were brought out not long after, incorporating refinements along the same lines.

Mine has really delivered outstanding, trouble-free service, by the way.

What I am referring to is things like the LA852 is vastly different from the LA853/854 and I can't find things like draft control or rear remote kits - in addition to plow subframes and such. Maybe I'm splitting hairs but I really hate Kubota's website on stuff like this!

You're right about that website, that's for sure! As for being stranded with a product for which factory accessories are no longer available, that's a reasonable concern, but it's not unique to your tractor or to Kubota. I don't think anyone (even Deere) still sells new dealer installed add-ons for equipment they stopped making more than a dozen years ago. Considering the L10's went out of production in 2002, OEM new add-ons and accessories are no doubt getting a little sparse by now. While there's probably a few such things in a back corner of some dealers stockroom, finding them would be very difficult.

The draft kit and remote kit would have been standard to all of the Lxx10 models, I remember the factory remotes were very pricey at the time, but adding a non-OEM setup is quite affordable, although it wouldn't tuck in next to the seat like the Kub setup.
