L 1501 tractor overheating, fresh oil, clean radiator, cannot find a cause.Please advise!

Hello podieroe, What is the water level in the radiator? If you are loosing water , do you have a cab? If so check the heater hoses. I had a water loss situation due to a chafed heater hose.
"Clean radiator" ??? does that include blowing out the fins with compressed air to remove the dust? You will be amazed at the amount of dust a radiator can hold. When I drove for a hay contractor , a daily blow out of the radiator
was eccential or at mid afternoon on day 2 you would over heat due to a dusted up radiator, and the front would still appear clean.
More info would be a big help.

Not familiar with that model so don't know if it has a water pump or is convection (thermo-siphon) cooled.
Fan and fan belt in good condition and working?
If equipped with a water pump, pump working, not leaking, thermostat installed and working?
Hoses in good shape, not collapsing?
Proper coolant mixture, not just plain water?
Interior of radiator clean as well? No plugged cores or scale floating around in the tank?
Signs of air bubbles or oil in the coolant (head gasket issues)

A plugged radiator is the most likely cause. Is the radiator filled with coolant? If the tractor is old the fins could be rusted off in the water pump. The fan belt could be loose, and not turning the fan and water pump.
