I recently purchased a kubota L1500. I noticed it was dumping coolant out of the over flow. I pulled the upper house and flushed the system. It looks to me that the water pump is not pumping. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions, I need to get this fixed soon.

L1500 doesn't have a water pump.......it uses the thermocycle principle for cooling. You must have a clean radiator & operable fan for this to work properly. Use a 50/50 mix of antifreeze & water & mix it thouroghly before you fill the radiator. If you overfill the radiator, it will flow out the vent tube till it bleeds off excess coolant due to expansion. If the L1500 overheats to a boiling condition, the vent tube has a built-in whistle at the end that you'll hear letting you know to check the cooling system........Tom

Thanks I really appreciate the info I feel alot better knowing that I don't have to replace a water pump.

I don't know about Kubota, but Yanmar only recommends 25/30% antifreeze in their thermosyphon systems. Less antifreeze = better circulation, and I would definitely recommend installing an aftermarket coolant recovery system. you want as much coolant in the system as you can get.
