Kubota L3400DT
Okay guys, I've made the decision to go with an L over the B7800. Can anyone please give me some feedback on these prices:

L2800 HYD - 13,242
L3400 DT - 13,025
L3400 HYD - 14,393

LA463 (60") - 3,272

I'm thinking the L3400 DT (gear) with the FEL. Thoughts or comments, please!

By comparison, Carver Equipment (www.carverequipment.com) has the following prices advertised on their website:

L3400 DT Tractor, 34 hp 4wd, gear drive, R4 Tires $ 12379
L3400 HST Tractor, 34 hp 4wd, HST TRANS, R4 Tires $ 13499

Sounds like your dealer is a little high.

Ive seen on Carver's website, but, North Carolina is a bit far to save $700. The trip would cost me more than that as would shipping; I'm in northern Wisconsin.

But, thank you for the feedback, it is appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I didn't mean you should shop there, but use it to guage how good a deal you are getting. In the other thread that talks about L3400 pricing, you see that most others are buying their tractors for about the same price that Carver is quoting. My local dealer is in line with Carver. The quotes you received are higher than average and you can do better.

What town are you near? I am in Hayward, Wi.
I bought my 3130 hst with 723 QT loader for $18,300 +$200 for rimguard loaded tires. From Lulich Implement 715-746-2478 in Ashland , Wi . Might want to call them .
Bar H Implement also has good prices they are in Stone Lake, Wi. 715-865-6211. Have not had a chance to use it much but it sure is a sweet operating machine /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Good luck.

It is impossible to use a dealer more than 35 miles away to guage your local dealer. Reason being when you buy a tractor and the first time you take the loader off you get stuck on something, the dealer you just bought from 100 miles away to save a whole $200.00 is not going to come over and help you get it right. I may be higher than some other dealers but I have several times before gone to a customers house on my own time and helped them many with many different things, from switching the loader and snowblower to teaching them how to use a plow. When you choose to save dollars you also choose to give up personal service

I agree. I am buying from my local dealer, who is reasonable on price, but extraordinary on service. It is worth the $250 premium compared to what I was quoted from different dealers across the state. Plus my time and transport means something.

I'm satisfied with the deal I made. I could have saves a couple of dollars, but the convenience was worth it.

I'm all for buying local and do it all the time even if prices are higher. But local dealers still differ big time. All well and good to buy local if the savings on the tractor would have been $200, or $400 or even $600. But I have prices on L series tractors that differ by $2000 or $3000 before contemplating the fact that out of state you probably pay no tax. That's just rude, and service probably isn't going to make up for that kind of price.

Reading Kubota,

I will kindly disagree with the premise of your post.

Although there is a milaeage limitation, 35 is a little low. My pricing was right in-line with most here. My dealer has a 150 mile round trip to my house...he delivered the G L5030HSTC 853 FEL and Curtis 7 foot power angle blade, with zero dollars transacted so far. I have used it for 3 weeks, and am waiting for the backhoe to come in, when that occurs, he is driving to me, loading up the tractor, taking it to his location, performing the install, and then returning it to me in 2 days total. Then we will sign the contract. That is what I call service.

Are all states the same. Sales tax in one may be 4.5 or higher or none at all where you're at.
12500 for L3400 here free tire fills free delivery etc. Dealer is 2 miles away.
I think the only way to gauge pricing acurately is to add it all up figure the way you will finanace then you'll have a true price comparison.
The L3130 vs. Farm trac 300DTC I was comparing has 3.99 vs. 0%. Well that has to be figured. What if one dealer charges to fill tires.
I would guess all deals are different but in the end the cost for product is pretty close.
Am I wrong? Buying tommorow or Thursday /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'd like to point out that many of us are a good long way from a dealer. I'm about 220 roundtrip miles away from the closest Kubota dealer.

R Walter,

You gotta remember that a lot of these folks are from those tiny little eastern States /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

We have counties bigger than some of those teensie ones, so we think nothing of driving 150 just to go out for dinner. In the distance from Portland Maine to Virginia Beach back east, you have just gone from Twin Falls to Sandpoint and never left the state. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The county I live in is bigger than Rhode Island, Delaware or Connecticut. The time to drive from Farmington to Carlsbad is ~ 9+ hours, or 500+ miles. [You can't go in a straight line because of mountains.]

It is good to hear of a dealer wiling to travel that far, and good to hear that you were fortunate enough to find one.
Not sure of your area, but where we are in a 50 mile radius there are at least 7 different Kubota stores, so "local" can be veiwed several ways

RFB,
Back east we call that just "ice in the glass". That is takes up alot of room but doesn't really amount to much. LoL
