Kubota MX5800
My MX5800 loan is almost paid off & I got a letter from Kubota offering the KTAC insurance for an additional year for $719. Seems kinda high doesn't it? Any other 3rd party companies to get insurance through that are good? From what I understand, the KTAC insurance covers just about anything that can happen to the tractor...

I acquired a new LX2610HSD w/BH and other implements back in March used USAA for insurance instead of KTAC. When I called the USAA farm/tractor number they told me the policy was underwritten by Travelers. The LX policy for @$42k was $525 annually and covered inland marine (transport) and damage on other properties. The KTAC was $710 annually. I'm not an insurance expert and realize KTAC may offer better coverage but I wanted to keep it with my farm/home coverage.

I didn't continue KTAC once my tractors were paid off. I too found it expensive. My equipment is covered under my homeowners policy. However, KTAC, did have slightly better and more focused coverage.

I just got letter for extending ktac on my ZT. Think around $110 year.

Much less expensive on ZT compared to a tractor.

KTAC on a new machine will repair or replace the new machine.

KTAC on a used or paid off machine will insure the machine for X value if totaled.

In either case it will cover off-property & commercial use, unlike a homeowners policy. Generally you need an inland marine policy for similar commercial or off-property usage.

This was not my experience with KTAC…
