long 2460 - belarus 250 - JD 4230 - Kioti DK40SE
I went by the Kubota dealer today and received a verbal quote on upcoming inventory. They said a MX5200, 4x4, HST, with loader was $29,900 out the door. An aux valve for the loader was $1000 and a each rear remote was $1000. I was surprised at the price. I spoke to the Kioti dealer over the phone and I believe he told me a NX5010 with loader was about 28,000. Do these prices seem reasonable, I would have thought the Kubota would be a decent amount over 30k. And also the Kubota dealer said they have 5 years @ 0%, which is easily worth around 4k minimum in cash value. Granted something could have easily been misunderstood when talking to the kioti dealer, but I was just curious if these seem in the ballpark.

Reasonable compared to what? Kioti's, in general, have many more standard features than Kubota, so it's sometimes difficult to do a item for item comparison.
What you are planning to do with a tractor ought to be of most importance in determining model, HP, features, accessories like remotes, etc. And what implements you might be wanting needing to do the work.
Both brands make good tractors. If financing is an issue that may help determine what is the best buy.
Zero % interest just means the financing is already built into the retail pricing; it's NOT free money as some people think.

I wasn't trying to compare tractors in Kioti vs Kubota, just wondering if the 29.9 quote from Kubota seemed about right along with the 28 for the NX5010 The 29.9 from Kubota was cash or 0%. Nothing is free, which is why price always comes first, then needs and wants. I cant remember the last time I looked at a menu and didn't look at prices before the actual food. Either one of these would be capable of the same purpose.

Have you worked through BUILD YOUR KUBOTA on Kubota's web site?

You lose some rebate money when you use Kubota's '0' percent financing, still, it is a good deal. You also have to buy KTAC insurance, which is around $400 per year, and worth it.

After looking at Foster's tractor packages, a JD 5055E (with loader) is around 37k with box blade, cutter, PHD, and 20' trailer. The extras are at least worth 4k so that makes the JD roughly 3k more than the Kubota and 5k more than the kioti. I thought I had read on here that people were seeing a 10-15k price difference between green/orange and LS/Kioti. I'll pay a thousand or two extra for green paint and a name if we are comparing apples to apples specs wise. Am I mistaken or confused? I just built the Kubota mx5200 with HST, 4x4 and loader for 33k and there is a cash rebate of 2500, so even building a Kubota I can get to around 30,500 after rebate. I would assume dealer would be a few thousand lower than MSRP automatically, so now I'm real confused. I need to check that kioti price again and confirm.

Scratch the 2500, I see a 4k rebate on Kubota if I buy one implement along with the loader and I choose standard financing which I would assuming there was no prepayment penalty and I could pay it off within the first month or two. I don't see anything about prepayment penalty

I lost track of the newer Kioti models, but isn't the NX series a more full feature tractor.
I think the DK 5010 would be much more comparable to the MX.

I think you are exactly right.

The problem is, the DK5010 (replacing the DS series) doesn't compare directly either with the MX Series, because you cannot get HST on the new DK (or outgoing DS) series.

But yeah, an NX5010 is comparable to the Grand L tractors. In the Midwest, you should be able to get a loaded up NX5010 cab/loader/HST/remotes for $30k

I think you can do better on the kubota price. I was quoted $31k for mx 5200, 2 remotes, aux loader valve, hd bucket, bolt on cutting edge, loaded tires. That was before any negotiation. I looked at the nx kioti series they have more features for the money but my local dealer didn't appeal to me, went with a Massey instead.
