They seem kind of high from my limited memory of what I thought they would be. I'm stuck in the debate over staying away from tier 4 and finding a used pre tier 4 machine. Unfortunately, there are not hardly any kioti tractors for sale and it seems that most used tractors are in the 30-40 hp range, not sure if its because people upgrade to more hp or if 30-40 hp is the most popular size range. There are a few kubotas for sale as I just saw a2013 MX4700 hst with loader, 250 hrs for 22,000. Is pre tier 4 worth a premium? I keep waiting to come across a super deal somewhere, but it just seems there aren't many 45-55 hp machines in the used category, with the exception of a bunch of JD5055's, but most of those are gear

If it's a 2013 then it most like interim Tier 4 with an EGR but no DPF. We looked at the MX5200 and the DPF sits about 2-3" away from the DPF with a thin heat shield between them. There's a more electronics on the MX4800 and 5200 than the 4700 or 5100 because it has to go through it's Regen cycle and has have sensors and a monitor to keep track of when it needs to Regen and when it's cleaned out.

So I was minding my business, just walking along at a park where we're doing some training when this beast lunges at me. There was no operator, but the engine revved up, the PTO kicked in gear, the FEL raised and the (optional) horn blared! I was able to sidestep it, and jump on the fender long enough to raise the seat so everything shut down....whew!

When I went to take the picture, one of my coworkers actually said (not making this up, I swear): "That little thing is just a big lawn mower"...he comes from a farming family. I laughed and told him I could probably lift two of them without leaders on my backhoe forks... He got a chuckle out of that.

In reality, it reminded me why the Kioti NX is heavier....it's a bit more solidly built machine. Virtually everything is just a bit larger on the NX. I also noticed how the FEL mount, cylinders, and even grill guard are smaller than what was on my LS R4047.
