Kubota KH8 engine transplant D600 replacing d850

I've heard of using auto tranny fluid but not water. Anything is worth a try at this point.
I would mix ATF and Acetone or ATF and Diesel and let it sit in that first before I used water...

Guys can I ask, will a d905 be a straight swap with the d850? I've found one nearby..

Thank you

If the dimensions match up that would be a good replacement from a hp perspective.

Right I've found a brand new d950 engine!!!!! This should be a straight direct swap without damaging the pump shouldn't it??

From what I saw, the 950 is the same block as the 850, but they bored it out a little, as such it should fit nicely.

fantastic, one last thing, the gentleman said he has had the engine from new, it is still sealed on the air filter, the rad has never had water in and still has new cardboard. He says it's never been started, still has factory oil but that he has turned it over every so often by hand with a screwdriver. Can anyone see that this would have any problems?

Thanks

How are the air filter and exhaust sealed off? I might ask to drain the oil (into a clean container) just to make sure there isn't any water in the bottom but otherwise, if it cranks over smoothly by hand it sounds great.

Bought the engine I think guys! Hoping she should fire straight up, I don't think it's very often you come across a brand new 15 year old engine, radiator and exhaust!

Just to update, old engine is out, hyrdaulic pump removed and cleaned up on the bench, there seemed to be black engine oil in the casing but where the drive goes seemed fairly dry, should I grease the drive before I reinstall the pump?

Next step is to attach engine mounts etc to the new engine and then put the pump on it ready to go.. Appreciate the help so will keep updating
