I posted a month or so ago that I only had homeowners ins. This time around I got the Kubota insurance. It seems that the coverage requirements have increased (it now states transport, flood and off property) and I no longer own the tow vehicle or trailer I used to have. This way if I use my buddies truck and trailer or have something happen off my property trying to do a good deed I will be covered.
I thought about trying to push it through anyway but for 1500 for 60 months it is not worth the risk.

I find that 1500 for 60 months interesting...my contract for my tractor 2010BX 1860 reads that the Kubota insurance costs 760ish for 72 mos. I wonder what the discrepancy is? Seems like a lot, mine breaks down to just over 10 dollars per payment. I found these forums very helpful on the odd occasion that the dealers are being shifty. Most of my experiences with Kubota dealers have been good, but I'd hate to see someone pay more for insurance they will likely not ever use.(hopefully) Maybe insurance is more expensive where you live?

It's all subject to underwriting, I was quoted $850 for a 2620 in CT.

Just curious; don't finance, so is this insurance available stand alone and how does it compare to others?

I live in Wisconsin. I got the Kubota insurance on my L4740 and I believe the cost was $1450 for five years. My insurance agent wanted $14.50 per thousand dollars per year to schedule.

The difference in price is because of the amount I spent. I added a chipper, Backhoe, forks and everything else I could think of.

The insurance on my BX2660 with all the implements is only an additional $100/year on my home owners insurance. I recently bought an older JD backhoe (310C) and it was the same...about another $100/year.

Are you in an area with many farms and dealing with an agent or broker that deals with farm and heavy equipment?

I added two tractors and implements to my home owners, Ky Farm Bureau, and it didn't add anything to my premium.
